  Voice Recognition is the main feature that sets this unit apart from the others. The implementation is excellent. There are different modes, ranging from speaking the text on the screen to perform a step, to logical phrases, such as Find Nearest Italian Restaurant.

  For over 4 years my 2720 was a great GPS and was stolen from my company car recently. Replaced 2720 with NUVI 880. Very easy to install, initialize and within 10 mins in operation. Voice recognition flawless. Optional MSN Direct service awesome. Biggest positive easy to remove from vehicle. After two weeks of constant use including hands free for my TREO 700w PDA no negatives. Very solid performer.

  Works just great, voice command is fantastic. Liked the 660, but love the 880. Quality product well worth the money.

  What a product. I already own the nuvi 660 and 680 for two other cars but this unit is the "MAC DADDY" The speech recognition is flawless and the new features like multiple routes is fantastic. The only drawback is that the unit does not come with a protective case, although not a deal breaker.

The MSN Direct is a must and well worth the cost. Satellite acquisition is fast and a must if you travel to different cities and use it in a rental car. The MSN even updates your time zone!

If you are a frequent traveler this unit is well worth the cost.

  I have a Nuvi 350 and I love it. The 880 puts it to shame!! I drive all over this crazy world and this will make my life so much easier. No more driving around with my phone to my ear. It hooked up to my smart phone with bluetooth and the clarity is just amazing!! I waited long enough for this and now I am enjoying every minute of it!

  Just received it today. A fantastic piece of electronic equipment. I have never owned a GPS but I spent a month researching online and in the library. Garmin was the head and shoulders stand out. The speech recognition works very well. I do wish that the operations manual was available now. The quick start was ok, but I had a little trouble getting the nuvi out of the cradle until I noticed the release on the bottom of the cradle. I also ordered the Garmin case and the weighted dashboard holder. Glad I did. Both accessories , in my opinion, are necessary add-ons.

  I have waited impatiently for this product to finally hit the street. I have been checking constantly trying to buy the nuvi880 since I first read about it back in January.

I promise you it IS worth the wait. I am in my fifties and can no longer read a map especially at night. This unit with the ability to listen to me as well as tell me where to go is beyond words. I admit that I had doubts as to how well the voice recognition works. It not only works well, it works great. If you speak clearly it will understand what you say.

I order by 880 from GPS Now just before 5PM on June 16th and had it in my hands the next day before 10AM. Just as promised. I spent the day with it giving it instructions and letting it take me where I needed to go. It worked flawlessly everytime. I will use the nuvi880 in my work as a detective here in Houston, Texas. This will take all the stress out of getting around town for me, especially at 2:00 AM in the morning when I should be asleep!

Thank you GPS Now for the great buying experience and for being one of the very first to have the nuvi 880 in stock. But most of all, thank you Garmin for such a great product that delivers. Now, I will have to buy that carrying case to protect my investment. I simply cannot find anything wrong with this unit. Except the price, it is high but you get what you pay for. I am sure the price will drop after a while but GPS Now pricing is competitive with other sites. However, none of the other websites I visited actually had the unit in stock.
