| Good value (4/5) | Jul 6, 2007 | Al Weinberger | California US | |
| I am also glad I waited. The 650 wide screen is great. And the price was right. I found it very easy to learn and use. I loved it when that voice said, " Your destination is on the right." | ||||

| Could not be more pleased (5/5) | Sep 14, 2007 | Rick Weintraub | Arlington Texas US | |
| After much comparison, I bought the 650 and could not be more pleased. Positives: big screen, ease of use, accuracy, bright display, easy set-up. If bluetooth and FM is not needed, this unit is tops in its class. | ||||

| I would rate this nuvi 650 a great rating. I've had it for about a month. I got a tomtom it was absolute junk. The main thing is is the place of worship the Tom Tom had was a bunch of Islamic temples. This garmin had every Christian church everywhere I go. Plus it's more accurate that Tom Tom it had me run off the highway a few places where this garmin maps me right on the highway. Actual widescreen tons of choices of shopping and other places I've been told that the topagraphical maps work on it I have not yet tried that to see how that is. | ||||
| Garmin Nuvi 650 (5/5) | Jan 11, 2008 | Fred Da Silva | Milltown NJ US | |
| This is great unit. If you’re looking for an “out of the box” easy to use GPS unit, this is it. The large screen and text to speech (reads out street names) make this unit a pleasure to use. And when I say right out of the box I literally mean right out of the box | ||||

| Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Have had the unit now for two months and use it constantly. Near flawless in the areas I have driven (Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland). Love it. | ||||

The Nuvi 650 is a good value for a big screen unit. I wanted a big screen GPS but the first units were high priced and had too many features I did not want. The 650 is defeatured but still has all the real GPS features you need, and saves you $150 . I really recommend it for the older driver since the big screen makes it easy to enter keyboard data and read the maps. The variety of methods to enter the destination make it easy to get started. I am amazed at the sensitivity of the new GPS receivers, it picks up satellites while in the house ( even with a metal tile roof) so it should be good among big trees or in the city, which I have not had a chance to test yet. I like the way it quickly computes a new route on the fly while you drive. It does not just try to get you back to the first route, but gives you the best one from where you are. The only drawback is that it is big, which makes it a little bulky to slip into your pocket when you leave the car. It looks huge compared to my compact digital camera. I was really considering the Nuvi 350 because it is such a tiny unit and still seems to have about the same features at the 650 for much lower price. But the big screen won out. |

| Garmin 650 works perfect! (5/5) | Jun 18, 2007 | Chris G | Olathe ks US | |
| Fantastic unit. You loose the bluetooth and fm transmitter but the screen and the sensitivity of unit are great. I was impressed with how accurate the travel time were and the how quickly it rerouted me when I got off track. Voice is clear and its very easy to use. | ||||
| Glad I waited (5/5) | Jun 9, 2007 | Michael Kantor | West Orange New Jersey US | |
| I've been looking into GPS units for quite a while. Garmin always came out on top. I was ready to buy the nuvi 350 last year but I kept putting it off. When the new larger screen nuvis came out, I knew it was time. What a toy!! I love it. I blew a half a tank of gas the first day. Too bad it didn't come with a printed version of the owner's manual instead of a download. | ||||
