Incredible reception and lightning lock! (4/5) Sep 27, 2007 Gil Meacham Spokane Washington US
I am very happy with my new 60CSx. I am amazed how quickly it locks on satellites and stays locked in difficult reception areas. I've used my trusty Garmin GPS II Plus for 10 years, and it has served me well. Some of the accessories (12v Power cord and remote antenna) from the old Garmin still work with the new one. I doubt if I'll be using the remote antenna, though. The 60CSx locks well just sitting in the dash mount. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is the mapping software, both bundled and purchased, is not up to the value of some competitors.
Great GPS and Great Service (5/5) May 15, 2007 Vince Haag Seattle Washington US
I just received my 60CSx from GPSNow.com and am very pleased with the unit. It is a very nice upgrade to my older Garmin Vista. It captures sattelites MUCH better. What I am most pleased about is the customer support I have received from GPSNow.com. I had a shipping problem with my order and GPSNow.com stepped right in with a fast resolution. I HIGHLY recommend GPSNow.com.
Wow! Great hand held loaded with features (5/5) Dec 4, 2006 Mark R. Richards Appleton WI US
I really like the built in marine features and the ability to download fishing maps for just about anywhere in the country. The built in compass is a nice feature and provides you your direction without moving. The display is really good looking and the color screen works well even in bright sun light. I was concerned that the screen might still be too small, but for a portable device it is very readable and bright.

Garmin has done a very nice job grouping functions into separate modes which makes it easier to navigate through the menus. It allows for a very streamlined interface in each mode. One of the better features is the "find" function which groups waypoints and other data into logical groups.

There are many ways to customize the unit, but it's still ready to go right out of the box. I’ve been researching GPS units for awhile and believe the 60CSx has some great memory capacity and is indeed expandable along with a more sensitive antenna. The SiRF antenna is very reliable even in heavy cover and under cloudy conditions.
