| The ONLY way to geocache... (5/5) | Nov 16, 2006 | Chris Short | Salem IL US | |

After pulling my hair out caching with a basic GPSr of another manufacturer and getting frustrated, a friend suggested the Garmin 60CSx as THE GPSr to have since it will pick up satellites anywhere, even while sitting in your living room. I figured that would work for tree cover and it has never let me down. I switched to the 60CSx in mid-August and have not regretted the decision. Since this time I have passed along the praise of this product and three other area geocachers (including my son) have purchased the 60CSx. As more local cachers place caches out there with highly precise coordinates, my old GPSr was simply under powered. Repeatedly it would place me in the middle of the road, 50 to 75 feet away from the cache. I tried the Garmin 60CSx and literally walked to within a few yards of the cache. The 60CSx is amazing to use. It's simple, durable, and so accurate, I think I might have to be careful hiding my next cache or it will take all the difficulty and fun out of the next search. Also, the night-time contrast is wonderful for those late night drives home. No flashlights or worry about glare. This GPSr has everything I could want. Thanks to Garmin for a product worth investing in! |

| I've had a 60csx for two years now, and its been through some tough conditions. It is like magic. I use it in many differnt applications, and it has never let me down. While waiting for a gondola, snow boarding in BC, I dropped it on the snow and piled a bunch on top and tapped it down with my boot, then uncovered it, blew off the powder and kept on going.. just for reaction from the crowd. Great unit, its well worth it to go the extra mile with the csx and its removable memory chip and color screen. | ||||
