I upgraded from a Garmin eTrex Legend Cx. This unit locks onto the satellites much quicker and (based on the unit's display) gives more accurate location. I use this unit for road navigation and geocaching and it has worked very well for both. The only drawback that I see is the brightness of the display. Even with the brightness turned all the way up, the display is just a bit dim. The Legend Cx had a much brighter display, which is sometimes needed in bright sunlight. |

| I have had the 60CSx for about 1 year or so. This is my 2nd Garmin GPS. Sat locking is superb. It wll lock on fast and even under cover. Locks on inside the house or car. When hiking it will keep lock in your pocket or pack. Amazing. Large color screen is excellent for viewing, especially with color topo maps. Ability to load micro-SD cards is great, up to 4GB. Just ordered 24K scale topos for Colorado, where I use it the most. Now that the 24K maps are available from Garmin to actually run on the GPS and not just your PC, all other GPS units will be compared to Garmin (as if they weren't already) and especially the 60CSx. Battery life is excellent. Rugged enough to mount on the handlebars of ATV or dirt bike. Hiking remote, trail-less in Colorado Mtns without a GPS of this quality will get you lost. Has anyone ever "not liked" the 60CSx? Probably no one outside of Garmin's competition. | ||||
