This is my fourth Garmin nuvi, replacing a 760 that was unfortunately stolen. The 760 had a lot of features I paid for but didn't use -- the 255W is a lot less expensive but does everything I want it to... which is to get me from Point A to Point B/ Signal acquisition is extremely fast and I love the querty keyboard. It does seem that I need to press harder to get keystrokes to input text but that may be because the unit is new. If you want a widescreen nuvi, don't need built-in traffic, or the ability to use your car speakers, the 255W would be a good choice. |
