I have just received my very first gps via FedEx yesterday. My purchase was the Garmin Legend Hcx. The size and capabilities of this unit are amazing. With only one day of getting familiar with the unit, I am comfortable holding and operating it with one hand. The color screen is highly visible and the enhanced satelite reception provides good signal in and around large buildings. The preloaded map is basic and would be nice if it offered more detail, but having the option to customize the unit with specific software is great. I plan on using the gps in my car and motorcycle, but also would like to see how it could work for basic routing when I go flying. This is a great product, I can't wait to really put it to use. |
