Getting from here to there has never been easier, thanks to the Garmin StreetPilot 2620. This portable navigator stores all the map detail you need on its pre-programmed hard drive*, so there's no need to download maps. And it has all the high-end navigation features you want - touch-screen controls, automatic routing, voice prompts and a brilliant color display. The Per-loaded City Navigator detail allows you to look up the nearest restaurants and services or even type in a street address and the StreetPilot 2620 will automatically calculate a route and provide turn-by-turn directions with voice prompts. It even has a new edit vias option function designed for business professionals. Simply select a group of destinations and the StreetPilot 2620 creates the best route between all points. And the StreetPilot 2620 also offers WAAS-enabled support to ensure the highest degree of GPS accuracy.

*The StreetPilot 2620 hard drive has 512 MB of free space available for download of other optional MapSource products.

Even though MapSource City Navigator North America v6 comes preloaded on the StreetPilot 2620 hard drive there is still 512 MB free for other MapSource products.

System Requirements: City Navigator North America comes factory preloaded so no computer is required to use the current version. To add other MapSource maps or for future updates of City Navigator North America the system requirements are: Pentium processor with Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, or Windows XP, Windows ME; 32MB RAM minimum; between 300 MB and 1.5GB free hard disk space; CD-ROM drive; available USB port; 256 color display adapter and monitor (24 bit recommended); and mouse or other pointing device.

Please Note: To provide its customers with the most complete and accurate electronic maps achievable at reasonable cost, Garmin uses a combination of government and private data sources. Virtually all data sources contain incomplete or inaccurate data to some degree. Although the StreetPilot 2620 comes preloaded with City Navigator North America there is 512 MB of space available on the StreetPilot 2620 hard drive to download other MapSource products to. A PC/USB interface cable is enclosed with each StreetPilot 2620 GPS to allow you to download MapSource™ CD Data between your PC and StreetPilot 2620 GPS. MapSource™ software also allows you to view color maps on a personal computer, with zoom and pan functions for easy map browsing. Users can then select individual maps in areas of interest and transfer the maps to the StreetPilot 2620 GPS or other compatible GPS.

Think of MapSource™ as an atlas that contains many smaller maps. By choosing several of these maps, you can make a map set. This map set can then be transferred to your GARMIN GPS, which allows you to tailor the map detail for the geographic areas you wish to view. For instance, if you are planning a trip by car, your map set might only need to include those maps that are along your intended driving route. MapSource gives you the flexibility to choose the extent of the mapping coverage.

Use the trip and waypoint manager functions to create waypoints, routes, and tracks, and transfer them between your GARMIN GPS and your PC. This is excellent for planning your next outdoor adventure, business trip, vacation, or recreational outing without ever leaving your house.
