The GPSMAP 276C is an all-in-one, versatile, color chartplotter and
automobile navigator — perfect for land or water. This portable GPS
navigator features a 256-color TFT display that's easy to read in
bright sun along with a Built-in
basemap and auto routing to provide you with turn-by-turn
directions to the marina for a day of boating.
On water, the GPSMAP 276C is a dependable, color chartplotter with a built-in
Autoroute basemap enhanced by Garmin's marine cartography. It accepts
pre-programmed or user programmed data cards with MapSource® BlueChart®
for offshore detail or Recreational Lakes with Fishing Hot Spots® for
detail of inland lakes.
In addition, the GPSMAP 276C supports external NMEA sources for water
depth, water temperature, and water speed through two serial interfaces.
The unit also features a new Course Deviation Indicator (CDI) — an
advanced navigation tool commonly found on aircraft, but equally practical
in the marine environment. The CDI quickly indicates if a boat has veered
off course.
On land, the GPSMAP 276C’s Americas
Autoroute basemap features interstates and major highways. With an
optional auto navigation kit that includes MapSource
City Select® software, data card, friction mount, and 12-volt power
adapter with speaker, drivers can receive voice-prompted turn-by-turn
directions to addresses and points of interest throughout the United
States and Canada or Europe.
For map transfer* or software updates, the GPSMAP 276C features a fast
USB-PC interface. The unit is also powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion
battery pack, or a standard 110-volt AC plug.

The GPSMAP 276C is right at home on any surface of your
boat or even your dash. This portable plotter features a bright,
sunlight-readable color display. For land navigation, its
autorouting capability allows you to select a destination and get
turn-by-turn directions. When used with the auto
navigation kit, you'll even get voice prompt guidance.
In addition to built-in
basemap detail, the GPSMAP 276C accepts data from MapSource CD-ROMs*,
including BlueChart*, Recreational Lakes with Fishing Hot Spots* and City

MapSource™ CDs provide high level detail
of roads, recreational areas, coastlines, navaids, lakes, boat ramps,
topography and more. A USB PC Interface cable is enclosed with each GPSMAP
276C* to allow you to download MapSource™ CD Data between your PC and
GPSMAP 276C*. MapSource™ software also allows you to view color
maps on a personal computer, with zoom and pan functions for easy map
browsing. Users can then select individual maps in areas of interest and
transfer the maps to the GPSMAP 276C* or other compatible GPS.
Think of MapSource™ as an atlas that contains many
smaller maps. By choosing several of these maps, you can make a map
set. This map set can then be transferred to your GARMIN GPS, which
allows you to tailor the map detail for the geographic areas you wish to
view. For instance, if you are planning a trip by car, your map set might
only need to include those maps that are along your intended driving
route. MapSource gives you the flexibility to choose the extent of the
mapping coverage.
Use the trip and waypoint manager functions to create
waypoints, routes, and tracks, and transfer them between your GARMIN GPS
and your PC. This is excellent for planning your next outdoor adventure,
